Directions

	There is an excellent bus service to the city centre and many of our guests prefer to leave the car in our grounds and have a relaxing day sightseeing. The cottage is also a perfect base for touring the central area of Scotland. The Borders, Perthshire, St Andrews, Stirling, and the Trossachs are all easily reached for day visits and we would be delighted to help any guests with arrangements regarding routes etc.

Edinburgh Airport to Newmills Cottage Take A8 signposted Edinburgh. Take first left exit at Gogar Junction over RBS Bridge. At roundabout go left then right on to Gogar Station Road. Stay on this road until you reach A71 (Hermiston Park & Ride). Follow signs to A70 passing Heriot Watt University. At A70 turn right on to Lanark Road West. Pass sign for Balerno. 472 Newmills Cottage is on the right side through a stone pillared entrance.

From North, South, East, and West Follow signs for A71 Calder Junction off City Bypass A720. Follow signs for Hermiston Park & Ride then follow signs for A70 Balerno passing Heriot Watt University. At A70 turn right on to Lanark Road West. Pass sign for Balerno. 472 Newmills Cottage is on the right side through a stone pillared entrance.
